An alternate post-credits scene from IRON MAN features Nick Fury mentioning mutants

It turns out that there is an alternative version of the iconic Iron Man post-credits scene that has remained hidden until now thanks to a newly released Infinity Saga box set. This alternate scene features Samuel L. JacksonNick Fury’s reference legendary mutants!

Nick Fury made his MCU debut in Iron Man and in it he brought the idea to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Junior.) about being part of a “much bigger universe”. This scene set the stage for what would become the interconnected Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the alternate version offers a slightly different perspective.

In this alternate scene, Nick Fury’s message remains consistent with the overall theme of a larger universe. However, in this version, he says, “As if gamma accidents, radioactive bug bites, and assorted mutants weren’t enough, I’m dealing with a spoiled brat who doesn’t play well with others and keeps all his toys within reach out of hand.” himself.”

Fox, on the other hand, had their own X-Men universe to run. At the time, the X-Men were a separate entity from the MCU, with no plans for their transition. It wasn’t until Disney’s acquisition of Fox that the X-Men became part of the MCU, opening the door for mutant-related stories that are slowly being integrated into the overarching narrative.
