Netflix has shared a short preview teaser trailer Adam Sandlerthe next science fiction film Astronaut. Sandler plays a lone astronaut on a research mission to the edge of the galaxy. During his mission he deals with marital problems and meets an alien creature who will help him fix things. Sounds like an interesting movie!
Sandler is joined in the film by Carey Mulligan, Paolo Dano, Kunal Nayyar, Lena OlinAND Isabella Rossellini and the synopsis of the film reads:
“Six months after a solo research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind may no longer be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to make things right with his wife Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is aided by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time that he finds hidden in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it’s too late.”
The film was directed by Johan Renck (Chernobyl) and was written by Colby Day. It is based on the 2017 novel Bohemian astronaut by Jaroslav Kalfař. Spaceman is the executive producer of Ben Ormand, Johan Renck AND Barry Bernardi. Manufacturers include Channing Tatum, Reid Carolina, Peter Kiernan, Michele Parets, Tim Headington, Lia Buman AND Max Silva.
The film will debut on the streamer on March 1, 2024.
