Vertical has released the trailer for an upcoming thriller titled It went like thiswhat stars Zechariah Quintus (Star Trek) AND Giacobbe Elordi (Saltburn, Priscilla). The film tells the true story of a famous animal trainer who picks up a hitchhiker, who happens to be a young and cunning serial killer.
Set in 1964, It went like this is “a tense thriller based on a true crime story that puts a wicked twist on the couple’s road trip movie. The film follows 19-year-old serial killer Bobby (Elordi) as he is picked up by a famous animal rancher, Jim (Quinto), on a desolate stretch of Route 66 with priceless cargo in tow: Jim’s chimpanzee, Spanky, an American TV treasure. As the stress between Bobby and Jim increases and their fiery personalities burn, the road becomes increasingly treacherous as they move forward.
It also explains: “This film is as much about a reunited family as it is a volatile crime drama centered around a serial killer and his captives on a journey. Quinto and Elordi draw audiences in with captivating chemistry as both performances highlight stark revelations . From [each one]and the difficulty of walking with kindness while navigating a brutal world.”
It went like this it was directed by Jeff Darling and also stars Patrick J. Adams, Notary of Phoenix AND Ananyaa Shah. It went like this will be released in select US theaters on January 5, 2024, then on VOD starting January 12.
