Michael Fassbender talks starring role in Zack Snyder’s 300 – ‘I enjoyed getting in shape and getting paid’

Zack Snyder’S 300 it was a really tough movie. I remember watching it for the first time and being completely blown away by it. I also remember the intense behind-the-scenes videos showing how all the actors got into shape for the film.

Michael Fassbender he played Stelios in the film in 2006 and it was the actor’s lead role in a feature film. During an interview with Vanity Fair, he spoke about his time making the film, saying:

“For 300, I think we trained for ten weeks before we got in front of the camera, and because the film is so physical, I think I have maybe four lines in the film, maybe. So it’s very much physics-based character performance. And so getting in shape was key. But yeah, I liked the fact that, you know, I got in shape and I got paid.”

300 is a visually stunning and action-packed historical epic that transports viewers to Ancient Greece and the epic Battle of Thermopylae. The film follows the courageous Spartan king Leonidas, played by Gerard Butlerand his loyal band of 300 Spartan warriors as they valiantly defend their homeland from the invading Persian army led by the ruthless Xerxes, played by Rodrigo Santoro. With its distinctive visual style, 300 brings Frank Miller’s graphic novel to life in a visceral and cinematic way.

One day, Snyder may actually make a third film in the series 300: Blood and ashes. The film would follow the events of 300: Rise of an Empire. That film is described as a “gay love story.” It is an Ancient Greek war epic that follows the relationship between Alexander the Great and his second-in-command, Haphaestion.

The director said of the film: “We got the rights back, so we can make it if we want. I don’t know what the market is for an incredibly homoerotic, super violent, super sexual movie. But maybe it’s perfect.”
