Adam McKay’s next film project will be another film related to climate change

Adam McKay’s next film was supposed to be a Netflix film titled Average height, average build, but that film is no longer moving forward. Instead, the director plans to make another film inspired by climate change.

McKay has been very vocal about climate change and his 2021 Netflix film Don’t look up it was a commentary on the subject. There are no details to share regarding the story or cast, but if you like the films McKay has made, it might be something you’ll want to check out.

As for Average height, average build, this was a big movie that would have starred Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams and Robert Downey Jr. The story would have followed Pattinson as “a serial killer who enlists a lobbyist (Adams) to change the laws that will allow him to escape” . with murder more easily. Downey was supposed to play a retired cop who doesn’t give up on killing, and the killer tries to stop him from tracking him now that he’s hung up his gun. The serial killer turns into a cause célèbre, a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington figure who hides his true motivations.

I was actually looking forward to seeing that movie, so it’s a shame it was scrapped.
