Hulu has released a trailer for a funny indie film comedy titled Self-sufficiency. Actor Jake Johnson makes his directorial debut with this film, from a screenplay he also wrote. He also stars in it Anna Kendrick, Andy Samberg, Natalie MoralesAND Christopher Lloyd.
The movie looks like a lot of fun! In it, Johnson plays a man who gets involved in a crazy killing game, in which he is offered a million dollars. The game involves the survival of a group of assassins who want to kill him. This is a great idea for a comedy!
In the film, “When a middle-aged man (Johnson) is invited into a limousine by famous actor Andy Samberg, his boring life takes an electrifying turn. Johnson is offered the chance to win a million dollars on a reality show on the dark web, in which assassins from around the world try to kill him for 30 days. The socket? He can’t be killed unless he’s completely alone, which leads him to recruit an unlikely team to help him survive.”
Hulu will release Johnson’s Self-sufficiency on January 12, 2024.
