Sam Raimi’s classic 1990 action film DARKMAN is getting the 4K treatment

Sam Raimi’S Black man is one of the craziest, most awesome comic book movies ever made, and it wasn’t even based on a comic book. He simply took that sensibility and translated it into cinematic form, and the result was an incredibly entertaining film!

Well, the film is finally getting the 4K treatment and will be released in 4K Ultra HD next year thanks to Scream Factory. It will be released on February 20, 2024, with SteelBook and Shout! optional. exclusive packages.

The various editions include prismatic stickers, posters and lobby cards, and you can check out all the available offers on the Scream Factory website.

The film follows Dr. Peyton Westlake, a brilliant scientist, who is brutally attacked and left for dead by a criminal gang. Miraculously, Westlake survives but is horribly disfigured. Seeking revenge against those who harmed him, he uses his scientific abilities to develop a synthetic skin that allows him to create disguises. This new ability allows Westlake to take on the role of Darkman, a vigilante seeking justice while dealing with his own inner turmoil.

The film is known for its dark and atmospheric tone, and does a great job blending elements of the horror and superhero genres and for its unique portrayal of a tormented protagonist. Black man stars Liam Neeson in the lead role, and if you’ve never seen it… where have you been!? There was also talk of a sequel.
