Four-time Oscar-nominated actor Willem Dafoe He’s always working on a project or two as one of Hollywood’s busiest actors, and currently has several films in post-production, including the long-awaited Tim Burton-direct sequel, Beetle juice 2. Dafoe joins new cast members Jenna Ortega, Monica BellucciAND Justin Therouxas well as returning cast members Michael Keaton, Winona RyderAND Catherine O’Hara.
We hadn’t heard any information about Dafoe’s new character, but the actor recently sat down with Variety and revealed some new details about the making of the film and his role:
“I haven’t seen any footage yet, but it was fun to do so. I play a police officer in the afterlife, so I’m a dead person. And in life I was a B-movie action star, but I got in an accident and that’s what sent me to the other side. But thanks to my skills, I became a detective of the afterlife. So this is my job. But it’s influenced by who I was [when I was alive]: A B-movie action star.
I love Dafoe in roles like this. He knows how to push a wild character to his limits, just like he did with Green Goblin Spiderman. Beetle juice 2 will be released on September 6, 2024.
