Now that the Hollywood strikes are over, film and television productions are resuming production! One such project is The Mandalorian Season 4, which was ready before the strikes came. The series was written and was originally supposed to start filming in October.
After the strikes ended, Katee Sackhoffwho plays Bo-Katan Kryze in the series, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of herself from season three on social media, teasing that work on the series will begin soon.
Din Djarin’s stuntman and stunt double Brendan Wayne also posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Only one thing is more exciting to me than the strike ending or the acceleration of Mando season 4, and that’s season 2 of Coach. Mando and the Ladies Lancers.”
It’s pretty clear from these posts that people are being told that The Mandalorian season 4 will begin filming soon. When production begins, some fans will wonder if Pedro Pasquale will return to the series due to his involvement with Marvel’s Fantastic Four.
Rumors are starting to spread that the actor won’t be returning as Din Djarin, with some saying he’ll be too busy to even voice the character. In this regard, I call bullshit.
StarWarsNews further states: “This is absolute misinformation. It was all taken from an article in Bespin Bulletin, which claimed that the actor probably wouldn’t be on stage much during the production, as he still had to finish filming. Gladiator 2 and will spend the first part of 2024 in Canada filming the second season of The Last of Us.”
Bespin Bulletin said: “Don’t expect him to be on the set of Mando. He’ll be the voice. Just don’t expect him to be in costume… I would expect him to show his face for the Filoni movie though. Big hit – he’ll take care of everything, as he should .”
This is exactly what I expected to happen since Pascal doesn’t even work much on the set of The Mandalorian anyway. His stunt team are the guys behind the mask. Pascal hasn’t even set foot on the set of The Mandalorian season 3, and given that the character has no plans to take off his helmet again, there’s really no reason to have Pascal on set. His Mandalorian role is now just a voiceover job, and there’s nothing wrong with that!
I’m just thrilled that the series is gearing up for production on Season 4 and that filming will begin soon!
