Blumhouse has released the first trailer, “Imaginary Friends” promotional video and motion poster for its upcoming horror thriller. Fictional. He introduces us to a creepy teddy bear named Chauncey.
The “Friends Forever” promotional video features young children describing their imaginary friends. In the second half of the video the children explain how these imaginary friends can sometimes get “angry” or be “creepy”.
It explains that the film “taps into the innocence of imaginary friends – and raises the question: are they really a figment of childhood imagination or is there something more terrifying hiding right underneath?”
In the film “When Jessica (DeWanda wise) returns to her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops a disturbing attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey that he finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey which start out playful and get more and more sinister. As Alice’s behavior becomes increasingly troubling, Jessica intervenes only to realize that Chauncey is much more than the teddy bear she thought he was.
The imagination is directed by Island of fantasy AND Kick ass 2‘S Jeff Wadlow, who also wrote the screenplay with Greg Erb and Jason Oremland. Along with Wise and Braun, the movie stars Tom Payne, Taegen burns, Veronica FalcoAND Betty Buckley.
Imaginary will be released in theaters on March 8, 2024 from Blumhouse and Lionsgate.
