Tom Hiddleston hints that he will return as Loki in the MCU and teases his reunion with Thor

Loki star Tom Hiddleston he believes he isn’t done playing the God of Deception yet. The finale of the second season of Loki certainly provided a satisfying conclusion to his story, but the actor recently hinted that he’s not done with Loki and teased his eventual reunion with Loki. He had previously explained that the end of Loki Season 2 was the conclusion of 14 years of his life, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see Loki again. During an interview with ComicBook, the actor spoke about his future in the MCU and said:

“It’s so hard because I’ll be completely honest with you, at least twice in my life I’ve said goodbye. I’ve written to Kevin Feige, Louis de Esposito and Victoria Alonso and said, ‘Thank you so much. it was the role of a lifetime,” and they wrote back saying, “Come visit us anytime. You are always part of the family. We are always here. You have given us so much and the tears have been shared.” So I think it would be unwise at this point to give a definitive conclusion on this.

Hiddleston also explored the possibility of this new version of Loki one day reuniting with Thor, which I would love to see happen. He explained:

“I think both Thor and Loki have had to dig and analyze the past and who they feel they really are and what they really want. But what’s also interesting about family, just me, is that sometimes it’s going to be hard to let go of preconceptions. about who they were before. Loki might expect Thor to act a certain way or be a certain way. Thor might expect Loki to be a certain way.

“So I think there would be a lot of confusion initially, but they’ve been separated for a long time and have definitely been objects in each other’s minds. And so yeah, I think I wonder what a reunion would probably be like. We’ll see.”

I’m sure we’ll see that reunion in the MCU one day, but one thing we know for sure is that it won’t happen anytime soon. There’s a lot to tackle and Marvel has this big plan to execute Avengers: Secret Wars which may or may not involve these two characters. Truly, anything is possible with the latest film in the Multiverse Saga.

Loki executive producer Kevin Wright also spoke about wanting to see a Loki and Thor reunion, saying:

“That would always be my hope, is that somewhere, somewhere along the way, someone gets to tell that story because [Loki’s] so different and why is Thor so different now too. I think what makes it interesting is, in my mind, they’re strangely different, but I think there’s just a deep internal understanding between the two of them. And I think it could just be something really cool and interesting.”

We’ll just have to wait and see what Marvel Studios has planned for Loki in the future, but it looks like his reunion with Thor is written in the multiverse.
