Meri Brown wasn’t invited to Mykelti and Tony’s family reunion and Christine explains why

Cristina, Kody, Robin Brown, Janelle Brownand other family members join a Zoom call so Mykelti and Tony can reveal the sex of their twins. (Spoiler: they’re having twins!)

However, one person is not present on the family Zoom call: Meri Brown. “I thought Meri and Mykelti were good,” says Kody, 54. She doesn’t know why Meri, 52, wasn’t invited.

Mykelti, 27, and Tony, 29, don’t reveal why they snubbed Meri, but Christine, 51, notes: “Our older children choose who they want to be in a relationship with. She does not feel comfortable with all family members. She [Meri] “He won’t do anything else to Mykelti and her children.”

After Christine left Kody and the family’s current chaos, Meri only remains in contact with Robyn, 45. Meri’s relationship with Kody is falling apart and she currently splits her time between Utah and Arizona. During the Oct. 29 episode, Janelle, 54, admitted she hadn’t spoken to Meri and Robyn in almost a year.

Although Kody has issues with Christine, Janelle, and several of his children, he still has a strong relationship with Mykelti. “The point is this: Tony and Mykelti love me and Robyn. And we know it. We have a good relationship with them and that made everything okay,” Kody says of the online family reunion.

Janelle hopes that “sooner or later” the family will be able to reunite in person. Christine isn’t ready for this yet. “I’m not interested in us going back to doing anything yet,” she admits. “I’ll just be friendly. I’d like to say I’ll be more, but I won’t. And I don’t care about that either.”

Kody believes that one day “the family civil war may end” and he will have to deal with the “contempt” of some family members if necessary. However, Kody stresses that he and Robyn will be a unit no matter what. Nothing will ever separate them. New episodes of Sister Wives air Sundays on TLC.
