Netflix just released a new trailer for Zack Snyderthe upcoming sci-fi epic Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. It seems like Snyder made a really good movie and from what I’ve seen, I’m really excited about the story the movie will tell. This is the first of a two-part story, the second of which is titled Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver.
The new trailer offers more details about the film and shows off the badass action the film will entail. You can also definitely see the influence of Star Wars, The Dirty Dozen, Seven SamuraiAND The Magnificent Seven in the movie.
In the story, a ragtag group of rebels rises up to fight against a giant, evil empire. It is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant.
This is a two-part film and each part will have an R-rated edition for fans to watch as well. Movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, AND Alfonso Herrera.
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire will arrive on Netflix on December 22 after a limited theatrical release. Watch the trailer and tell us what you think!
