Let’s go! Sony Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlifewhich is officially titled Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire. The trailer offers our first look at what’s in store for the next chapter of ghost Buster story and it looks like fans are in for another thrilling and chilling supernatural adventure! It looks funny!
In the story, New York City finds itself frozen by an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! Plus, the original Ghostbusters return! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson are all back for the new adventure! The synopsis reads:
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all began, the iconic New York firehouse, to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research laboratory to bring ghost eradication to a higher level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, the Old and Old Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife co-writer and executive producer Gil Kenan is directing the sequel, with the director and co-writer of Afterlife Jason Reitmann serving as writer and executive producer. The film is also the protagonist Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjianicomic James AcasterAND Emily Alyn Lind they joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn WolfhardAND McKenna Grace.
The film is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024.
