Marvel Studios recently announced a new label called “Marvel Spotlight” which is Echo the series will be released below. So what exactly is this Marvel Spotlight label? It is a new banner and subcategory for upcoming MCU projects released by Marvel Studios. Such projects won’t necessarily connect to and reference the MCU’s larger plot threads. These are more self-contained projects.
So, people watching shows under this banner don’t really need to have seen any of the previous MCU projects to understand what’s going on. They also won’t really connect to any future upcoming projects. The audience won’t need to watch Hawk eye to understand what is happening Echo. But anyone is likely to be interested Echo he will have already seen Hawk eye.
Marvel Studios Head of Streaming Brad Winderbraum went on to explain that Marvel Spotlight is a platform where Marvel can play with grounded, character-driven storylines. He said it too Echo and other shows will focus on street-level stakes instead of events that affect the broader MCU continuity.
The Marvel Spotlight label was inspired by two anthology comics of the same name published by Marvel Comics between November 1971 and April 1977 and July 1979 and March 1981. Those comics focused on characters such as Ghost Rider, Jessica Drew Donna’s Spider-Man and werewolf at night.
Any thoughts to share on this new Marvel Spotlight banner?
