A new photo for the director has been released Rhys Frake-Waterfield’S Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 slasher horror film and offers a close-up look at the terrifying new redesign of the bloodthirsty Pooh Bear. As you can see, the design is much more detailed and crazy looking than the first film. This time the sequel had a much bigger budget to work with to increase the quality of the film, which sees the sadistic Winnie The Pooh brutally killing people.
Speaking about Pooh’s new look, the director told THR:
“Number two is better than number one in every single aspect. Because we went this way knowing what platform it was going to go on, whereas in the first one we didn’t have much idea. Obviously we didn’t know. “We expect it to reach the masses like it did . This time we went into it knowing that this will happen, so we can spend a lot more time on it. This year I haven’t worked on anything else. And that’s why all areas are now a huge leap forward compared to before.”
“For example, the look of the creatures is quite a big thing. We used to buy a mask online, some cleaning gloves from the shop downstairs and a red lumberjack t-shirt from Amazon. The whole monster cost around £630 ( $770. But this time we have people who do the prosthetics: it’s a company that worked on Voldemort from Harry Potter and Star Wars. And they were in charge of redesigning the creature. And that’s why Pooh looks a little scarier. There’s an extra level of detail.”
The film will also feature the characters Christopher Robin, Piglet and Owl. It will be interesting to see how they are imagined in this dark and sinister version of the classic and beloved world of Winnie The Pooh.
The director further stated, “Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high body count. However, this time Pooh and his friends will leave the Hundred Acre Wood to fight in the quiet community of Ashdown!”
Producer Scott Jeffrey he added: “For our sequel we have a substantially higher budget, so Rhys is truly capable of creating a shocking, explosive and blood-filled film. I really think people will really appreciate what we’re creating.
“Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is a 2023 British independent slasher film that serves as a horror retelling of the Winnie-the-Pooh books and stars by AA Milne and EH Shepard Craig David Dowsett as the titular character, e Chris Cordell as Piglet, with Amber Doig Thorne, Nicola Leon, Mary Taylor, Natasha Rose MillsAND Daniel Ronald in supporting roles.”
It follows Pooh and Piglet, who have become vicious, bloodthirsty killers, as they terrorize a group of young college girls, and Christopher Robin as he returns to the Hundred Acre Wood many years later after leaving for college.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will be released on February 14, 2024.
