Terriferous 3 will look to get people into the bloody Christmas spirit during the Halloween season in 2024. The sequel has been confirmed to be a horror film set at Christmas and has been revealed to release on October 25, 2024.
For those of you attending the screening of the theatrical re-release of Terrifier 2, you will be treated to a preview of Terrifier 3, which has been in production. I’m sure the trailer will be released online eventually, but for now it’s a theater exclusive.
According to Bloody-Disgusting, “In the third episode of Damiano LeoneThe hit horror film, Art the Clown, is set to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully fall asleep on Christmas Eve.
Previously speaking about the pressure of overcoming the bloody madness of the second film with Terrifier 3, the director said:
“Sometimes there are sleepless nights where, ‘Oh my God, I can’t disappoint the fans of this franchise.’ They’re always waiting for the next big kill scene, the next big gory scene. How am I going to complete the now infamous hacksaw scene in the first part, and now in the second film? At conventions I get asked, ‘How are you going to get past the bedroom scene?’ I always want to overcome obstacles and try to see if I can outdo myself from the previous episode.
“There was actually a kill that I was going to put in Terrifier that happened to Jenna Kanell’s character, Tara. After the hacksaw scene, there was another torture scene. I knew that putting them one after the other would completely throw the audience off because it would be too much to handle. So it was a kill I kept on the back burner… I didn’t even put it in part two. So that’s what I might explore. But there’s another one that I thought of about a month ago, where I clicked and said “This is going to be the next bedroom murder scene” – you’ll know it when you see it. I can’t say for sure that I’ll ever top any of these scenes – it’ll always be subjective – but you’ll know it when you see it.
David Howard Thornton he will return to play Art again and will be joined by him Lauren LaVera. It was also revealed that Terrifier 3 will have a much bigger budget to work with. This budget is “intended to give filmmakers more creative freedom and let them be as wild as possible. And, jokes aside, this year we will aim for that Oscar.”
Leone said: “I will continue to push the limits in Terrifier 3 and I can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for Art the Clown.” So, I guess we should prepare ourselves for complete bloody carnage!
