Disney reportedly spent $330 million on the live-action SNOW WHITE film and is worried

Disney’s live action Snow White the film has caused a lot of bad news in recent months and released that image Rachel ZeglerSnow White surrounded by seven CGI dwarfs didn’t help. It looked terrible. Now, Mail Online reports that the studio spent $330 million on the film, and they’re worried that the movie might blow up, and they should be worried!

An insider told the newspaper: “Disney had to delay Snow White because they spent so much money on it, and if it were a financial disaster at the box office, it could single-handedly cripple future remakes and potential Snow White sequels they have planned.

The insider also said, “They also need to get the bad taste out of online critics’ mouths and instead want to deliver a great movie and get to the point where they do it well. They realize they were overthinking things and are now reigning it all in a little more.”

Peter Dinklage was pretty much blamed for Disney’s decision to ax the Seven Dwarfs after the actor’s comments. Dinklage criticized the remake due to the fairy tale’s “fucking backwards” depiction of the dwarves. He also said: “There’s a lot of hypocrisy going on. Literally no offense to anyone, but I was a little surprised when they took great pride in casting a Latina actress as Snow White. But you’re still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

And now we have these ridiculous looking CGI dwarfs in the movie taking jobs away from other dwarf actors who would have been happy to get the job!

The report also states that the studio is looking at similar films Cats AND Sonic the Hedgehog to help them understand what not to do. A source continued, “It’s a perfect storm right now, but they’re embracing change and anticipating everything working and exceeding expectations. The work starts now. They’ve also had to delay making the film because not only do they have to do it in the best way possible, but there are a lot of toys they have to prepare, so they need the dwarves and the rest of the characters to look exactly like who they should be.”

Yeah, I’m not sure Disney will be able to save this movie. I have yet to talk to anyone who has any interest in selling it.

The story follows a princess who is rescued by seven dwarf miners, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy, who make Snow White part of their family after she is exiled to a dangerous forest by her evil stepmother.

Snow White was originally supposed to be released on March 22, 2024, but was pushed back a full year, to March 21, 2025. The film also stars Gal Gadotwho plays the Evil Queen in the film, and is directed by Marco Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man).
