“And at one point, he said, ‘I don’t even know why you called me to wish me a happy birthday.’ Meri, you know we’re never going to have a relationship again, right?'” Meri recalls. “And I said, ‘Well, I’m good working on something.’ She says, “I never want to go back to what we were.” And I said, “That’s fine with me.” I don’t believe in going back. Let’s go. You and I are different people. We don’t even know who we are now. Why don’t we be curious about each other, learn from each other and discover some things? And he said, “I don’t want to.” Your life is not a life I want to fit into. I say, okay then.”

Meri reveals that a few months have passed since that conversation and there has been no further news. “We haven’t had any kind of marriage in about 8 years,” she admits. “It’s disappointing to me because I know who he was when we got married. I know the couple we were. Cristina Marrone She admits that she was initially interested in Kody because of “how well he treated Meri.”

Despite this frustrating back-and-forth dynamic with Kody, Meri doesn’t let the situation affect her confidence. “I’m proud of myself. I’m proud of the person I am. “It’s really sad to me that I didn’t realize the value of three decades of history,” she says.

Meri fully admits that she doesn’t know what her future will look like. “I don’t know if I will stay and continue to live life in this family as I have for a few years,” she continues. “Not a wife, just a family member, right? I can do it. Or I could close it completely.

Although breaking up with Kody was never something she thought would happen, Meri says Kody “made it clear there was no point in hoping.” Meri then adds: “Fuck it. “It’s not worth it.” New episodes of sister wives airs Sundays on TLC.
