Several preview photos from the rehearsal room of the upcoming theater show have been released, Stranger Things: The First Shadowwhich serves as a prequel story to the hit Netflix series Stranger things. The play is set in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1959, and is based on an original story by Duffer Brothers, Jack ThorneAND Kate Trefry. It will feature younger versions of characters Jim Hopper, Joyce Byers, Bob Newby and Henry Creel. This week, new photos from the production were shared on the show’s Facebook page.

The show’s synopsis reads:
“Hawkins, 1959: a regular town with regular worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister doesn’t take her radio show seriously, and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get out of town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family discovers that a new beginning isn’t so easy… and the shadows of the past are very long-lasting.
