It seems like fans are enjoying the third season of Chucky and there were some aspects of this last chapter of the story that were very funny, like how Chucky ended up in the legendary house of Amityville. It was a nice unexpected surprise.
Chucky Creator Don Mancini is now teasing the possibility of the red-haired assassin taking on the AI robot doll M3GAN.
During an interview with Variety, Mancini talked about the current season of the horror series and offered insights into how Chucky sees his place in the world and how his relevance is threatened by other evil dolls like Annabelle from The evocation Universe and, of course, M3GAN. He explained:
“He has to deal with that place in the pop culture world on his own and that’s how we really touch base with Chucky. Let’s give this larger-than-life character a crisis that has the sting of real pain and real life. But that only makes him angrier, and you know what happens when Chucky gets angry.
As for Chucky and M3GAN, they have already engaged with each other on social media during the promotion of M3GAN. This was done to make sure fans knew that the two Killer Doll characters are both under the same NBC Universal umbrella. For this reason, Mancini was asked if the two could face each other in the future, and his response was: “I would say, stay tuned.”
