A new story trailer has launched for the highly anticipated RoboCop video game RoboCop: Rogue City and offers further insights into the game’s story, which sees RoboCop tasked with protecting the city of Detroit after Omni Consumer Products Corporation takes control of the Detroit Police Department in an attempt to restore the relationship between the haves and have-nots has.
The game comes from Nacon, and in case you didn’t know, Peter Weller returned to provide the voice of RoboCop! I love that we’re getting a new RoboCop story in video game form, sounds like fun! Here is the synopsis of the game:
Welcome to Detroit; crime is rampant as the city lies on the brink of ruin, people struggle for scraps while others live lives of extravagance and luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is handed over to Omni Consumer Products in an attempt to restore order. You are the solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.
The triumphant return of RoboCop wouldn’t be perfect without the man who brought so much life to the role, and we’re thrilled to reveal that Peter Weller will be providing the voiceover for the game. Enjoy this first look at the gameplay and, for the record, “dead or alive, you’re coming with me!”
RoboCop: Rogue City will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch in September 2023.
