Shout Studios has released a trailer for the upcoming biographical documentary film Werner Herzog – Radical dreamer, which focuses on the iconic German director. In the film, Werner Herzog reveals extraordinary anecdotes about the filmmaking process and also includes interviews, archive footage and never-before-seen excerpts. As someone who has enjoyed Herzog’s cinematic work over the years, I can’t wait to watch it. There’s no doubt it will be interesting.
The film is described as “the only full-access documentary about the iconic cinematic pioneer that is Werner Herzog. This is not just another Hollywood biopic. It is a rare and unparalleled look at Werner’s life and creative process “.
The synopsis reads: “No one can tell a story like Werner Herzog. But in this thoughtful portrait of the beloved storyteller and director, we also hear from some of the people who worked with the German genius during his long career. From directors like Chloe Zhao, Joshua Oppenheimer AND Wim Wendersto singers and actors like Patti Smith, Nicole Kidman, Cristiano BallaAND Robert Pattinson. Of course we also hear from ‘der Werner’ himself, whose distinctive voice offers quirky anecdotes as old film locations and his childhood home in southern Germany are revisited. With exclusive access to Herzog’s daily life, never-before-seen extras, and in-depth interviews with the man himself, the film paints a picture of a radical visionary and daring dreamer.
