Paramount+ has released a trailer for its upcoming thriller film The best kindwhat stars Jenna Ortega, Tommy Lee JonesAND Ben Foster. The film centers on a crew of fishermen who become involved in a drug trafficking scheme after their debts begin to pile up. As you can imagine, they are in an even worse situation.
Finestkind tells the story of “two brothers (Foster and Toby Wallace), raised in different worlds, who find each other as adults during one fateful summer. Set against the backdrop of commercial fishing, the story takes on primal stakes when desperate circumstances force the brothers to make a deal with a violent Boston crime gang. Along the way, a young woman (Ortega) finds herself dangerously caught in the middle. Sacrifices must be made and the bonds between brothers, friends, lovers and between a father (Jones) and his son are put to the ultimate test.
The film is directed and written by Brian Helgeland (A history of knights, legend) and the film also stars Tim Daly, Clayne Crawford, Aaron Stanford, Scotty Tovar, AND Lolita Davidovich.
Finestkind arrives at Paramount+ on December 15, 2023.
