We have two photos to share with you from Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer’s body) horror comedy film with screenplay, Lisa Frankenstein. The film was directed by Zelda Williamsthe daughter of Robin Williamsand movie stars Kathryn Newton (Capricious) AND Cole Sprouse (Riverdale).
The film is set in 1989 and “the film follows an unpopular high school girl who accidentally reanimates a beautiful Victorian corpse during a thunderstorm and begins to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.”
The synopsis reads: “A RAGE romance about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a pretty corpse. After a series of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.”
Williams is making her directorial debut with the film and described it as a “crazy, wonderful zombie movie.” He added: “I know Hollywood has a bad reputation for regurgitating sequels and remakes and reboots over and over and over… and yes, it absolutely does! But it’s also finally letting me make the craziest, most wonderful zombie script I’ve ever seen”. read and for this I will be forever grateful!”
The film is also the protagonist Carla Gugino (The Fall of House Usher), Lisa Soberano (Alone together), Joe Chrest (Stranger things) AND Henry Eikenberry (The crowded room).
Lisa Frankenstein will hit theaters on February 9, 2024.
