Trailer for the Chinese remake of Roger Corman’s SHARKTOPUS

Already in 2010, Roger Corman produced a SYFY Original Movie titled Sharktopus and it centered around a half-shark, half-octopus creature that would cause chaos. That film spawned two sequels Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda in 2014 and Sharktopus vs. whale wolf in 2015.

Well, Sharktopus is getting a remake thanks to China and the first trailer for the remake has been released, and it looks just as good as you’d expect!

In the film “The infinite sea, luxury cruise ships in motion and people celebrating in a carnival atmosphere. What seems like an extremely quiet and ordinary night is actually a background: watch out for sneak attacks with tentacles because it’s difficult to hide in corners and the bloodthirsty monster Sharktopus is hunting humans…”

The film was directed by Xu Shi-Xing AND Hu Dong Shengand appears to have been heavily inspired by The Megwhich seems appropriate.

Movie stars Michelle Ye, Luo Li Qun, Chen Wen-Jun AND Lemon Li. It is not known when he will be released. I just think it’s funny that they were like, “You know what movie we should remake!? Shaktopus!” You know, because he has such a huge fan base. I guess if you like silly D-Movie monster action movies, this is for you!
