EXCLUSIVE: Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary School), Timothy V. Murphy (Appaloosa) and Bruce Greenwood (The fall of the House of Usher) boarded The fantastic Foura new Bleecker Street comedy that has begun production in Georgia under an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA.
The actors join an ensemble cast that also includes Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler and Megan Mullally, as previously announced. Ralph takes over the role from Sissy Spacek, who was hired last fall but pushed back due to scheduling conflicts. Bleecker Street acquired North American rights to the picture last October and will release the film in US theaters in 2024. UTA Independent Film Group and CAA Media Finance arranged financing and brokered the US rights deal, with Sierra/Affinity representing international sales.
The film was written and directed by Cannes winner Jocelyn Moorhouse, best known for her film Kate Winslet The seamstressThe film follows three lifelong friends (Sarandon, Mullally and Ralph) who travel to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids at a surprise wedding of their colleague Marilyn (Midler). Once there, the sororities are revived, the past awakens in all its glory, and there are enough sparks, drinks, and romance to change their entire lives in ways they never expected.

At this year’s Toronto Film Festival, Bleecker Street secured US rights to James Hawes’ film.
