Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Jesse Plemons have already shot the new film by director Yorgos Lanthimos E

It was announced last year Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse PlemonAND Margaret Qualley they would be collaborating for a new film project by the director of Poor Things Yorgos Lanthimos. That movie is slanted ANDand the film has already been shot.

During a recent interview with Brazilian outlet Omelete, cinematographer Robbie Ryan revealed that Lanthimos shot the film while the Poor Things VFX team was finishing work in post-production. Ryan said:

“It’s a very, very emotional film. There are three stories and it is very different from Povero [Things]. He wrote that one with Efthimis [Filippou]with whom he wrote The [Killing of a] Sacred deer. It’s still Yorgos, but there’s a different sensitivity.

Ryan continued, “[Poor Things’] post-production took so long, and with COVID shutting down some projects, we had time to shoot. Yorgos said: ‘I don’t want to watch special effects every day, let’s make another movie!’”

There is no other information on the subject of the story, but Searchlight Pictures presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield previously said: “Working with Yorgos continues to be a highlight for us at Searchlight, and this is yet another project truly original that sets his work apart. Working with Emma, ​​Willem, Jesse and Margaret again as well as Element and Film4 is just the icing on the cake.”

Yorgos Lanthimos has made some strange films as a director and it will be interesting to see what the next one is about. His next film, Poor thingsit seems so strange!

In that story, Stone plays a woman who was brought back to life by a Dr. Frankenstein-like character played by Dafoe. This film is based on the 1992 novel by Alistar Gray, and in the story, “the incredible story and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Dafoe).
