Adam Sandler interrupts the stand-up show to help an audience member experiencing a medical emergency

Adam Sandler proved he was paying close attention to his audience on Wednesday night when he stopped his show mid-show when he saw a fan was having a medical emergency.

Sandler was performing at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, when he stopped his performance and was helped by paramedics to where the audience was seated.

In a video recorded by a fan that night, Sandler can be heard telling the crowd:

“Let’s take a few seconds, let’s just let the guys concentrate, okay? Love you guys.”

As the lights came on in the arena and medical personnel reached the affected fan, Sandler added:

“We all wish you the best son, feel better there.” I am sorry.”

Not long after, he continued his performance and said:

“I hope everyone is doing well, everyone is doing well. Let’s get down to business and start the show again, okay?

He also asked the audience to give a round of applause to the fan who needed help before ending with “Ok, back to fokken stupid.”

Sandler was on the trip with him I missed you Tour – which started last week in Vancouver and runs through December, then ends in Denver. He performed in Fresno on Friday night and will be on stage in Palm Desert tonight (Saturday) before moving to Anaheim on Monday.

In addition, yesterday Netflix officially announced its next project with Josh and Benny Safdie, a yet-to-be-titled film. Sandler takes on the lead role, while the Safdies pair write, direct and produce.
