A trailer has been released for the upcoming indie horror film Iron lung, which is a feature film adaptation of the video game of the same name. The film comes from the YouTube star Markiplier (Marco Fischbach), who is making his directorial debut with the film.
Iron Lung the game comes from developer Dave Szymanski (DUSK). The story is set in a post-apocalyptic future where an event known as The Quiet Rapture caused all known stars and habitable planets in the universe to disappear.
A convict is sent to search for an ocean of blood discovered on a desolate moon, using a midget submarine nicknamed the Iron Lung. It is there that the inmate discovers that the crimson abyss may contain something deadly.
The film’s trailer shows Markiplier emerging from a sea of blood as a narration by Mick Lauer plays over an ominous score by Andrew Hulshult.
Markiplier stated that this film would contain the most blood ever seen in any horror film. All this thanks to the Blood Ocean setting. During filming the director even ended up in hospital because he had too much red wine in his eyes.
The film is also the protagonist Elle LaMont, Caroline KaplanAND Sean McLoughlin. The film will be released in theaters, but there is currently no release date.
