EXCLUSIVE: Award-winning filmmaker Limbert Fabian (MLK: Now is the time) and Brandon Oldenburg (Ollie lost) work together as directors under the name InBetween and signed a contract with Anonymous Content for representation.
Fabian and Oldenburg, a couple who have worked together for many years and achieved great success in both joint endeavors and solo projects, first met on the campus of Ringling College of Art and Design. Over the past 28 years, the two have collaborated on numerous projects in feature films, episodics, commercials and interactive entertainment, including Daytime Emmy Award-winning animated shorts. Quiet And They flyfor Dolby and Radio Flyer respectively and winner of the Cannes Lions Grand Prix The Scarecrow for Chipotle.
In a statement to Deadline, Fabian said: “This is an exciting time for us as a directing duo. We share a common vision of filmmaking and believe it’s time to tell stories as independent filmmakers. We see Looking forward to working with Anonymous Content as we enter this new era of collaboration.”
Oldenburg further noted that the duo is “passionate about telling stories that are both visually striking and emotionally engaging, raising the bar for the medium of animation.” We look forward to working with other studios and artists “We look forward to supporting the Anonymous Content. team to make our vision a reality.”
Over the years, the projects Fabian and Oldeburg have collaborated on have been exhibited at festivals around the world. As for solo projects, Fabian recently received a nomination at the Primetime Emmys for his dramatic film MLK: Now is the time, in which the key themes of Dr. to be investigated. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech is given to highlight the systemic inequality that still exists in our society. Oldenburg won an Oscar for directing best animated short Mr. Morris Lessmore’s fantastic flying booksmost recently, he was executive producer of the hybrid live-action/animated series Ollie lostfrom producer 21 Laps, which debuted on Netflix last year.
Since 1995, the two have also been founders of Reel FX, Moonbot Studios, Flight School Studio and most recently the immersive theater experience Department of Wonder. They continue to be represented by Newhouse Porter Hubbard Law.
