Amazon has renewed itself The boys spin-off series set in college Gen V for a second season! The show appears to have been a huge success for Prime Video and they are excited to continue the story they started. I enjoyed the series and think the quality is on par with what The Boys has produced. It will be fun to see these characters’ story arcs explored further.
The news comes midway through the first season, with the big season finale set to premiere on November 3.
The project is inspired by G-Men, which is a parody of the X-Men comic series in The Boys. “Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they push their physical, sexual, and moral limits at the limit. the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire and vulgarity of The Boys.
Fifth generation stars Jaz Sinclair (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Perdomo case (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lizze Broadway (Bone), Shelley Conn (Bridgerton), Maddie Phillips (Teenage bounty hunters), London Thor (Shameless), Derek Luh (Shining Valley), Asa Germann (Caviar), Patrick Schwarzenegger (The ladder), Sean Patrick Thomas (Barber shop), Marco Pigossi (Invisible city), AND Clancy Brown.
The series comes from Eric Kripke and producers Evan Goldberg AND Seth Rogenwhich he previously described Gen V as “most shocking” and full of all kinds of “really crazy shit”.
