Here’s a trailer for an upcoming independent horror film titled Void Ghosts. The film centers on a married couple who are going through a difficult time in life and find themselves having to move by car. At that point they begin to be terrorized by masked strangers. Yes, this sounds like the feel-good movie of the year!
In the film, “Jen and Tyler had it all: a solid marriage, a beautiful home, and a career that promised a bright future. But when Tyler’s drinking problem worsens and writer’s block continues, the debt collectors show no mercy, forcing the couple to leave the house and get into their car. On top of the stress, exhaustion, and sense of failure, Jen and Tyler park their car in a vacant lot, hoping to get a good night’s sleep before facing the reality of tomorrow. However, their sleep is interrupted by homeless passersby, mischievous local kids, and, finally, menacing strangers in harrowing masks.
The film comes from a debut director Jason Miller, which is said to have carefully crafted “a gripping, slow-burn thriller that delves deep into the psychological depths of a crumbling marriage stranded in the middle of nowhere. Ghosts of the Void exposes the fragility of the human psyche in the face of adversity, leaving audiences to question the thin line between reality and the supernatural.”
The film is the protagonist Tedra Millan AND Michael Reagan and will be released in select theaters on October 13, 2023 this fall, then on VOD starting November 7.
