Thanks to /Film, today we have a beautiful video to share with you Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, part one director, Christopher McQuarrie, analyzing one of the most emotional and emotional scenes of the film. That train fight sequence towards the end of the film is really cool, and it’s really nice to see the scene unfold as the director offers some wonderfully insightful commentary.
McQuarrie says in the clip, “This is one of my favorite compositions in the film. This is where I really developed an addiction to extreme, punishing conditions.” The director went on to talk about the “miserable elements” in shooting the scene and turning them into 11 plays to take the drama to the next level of madness.
He also talks about it Tom Cruiseand how he actually boarded a moving train to fight the film’s main villain. We would expect nothing less from Cruise. Enjoy the video!
