MORTAL KOMBAT Vs. DC Animated Film was proposed to Warner Bros. but rejected

Warner Bros. Animation has developed many animated films Mortal combat and DC film projects over the years. These animated films allow them to tell fantastical and crazy stories that they would never do in live-action. It also allows them to experiment with stories and try some crazy things.

Jeremy Adams he has worked on many of these animated projects as a writer and during an interview with CB, he was asked about the possibility of a crossover between Mortal Kombat and DC. It definitely sounds like a project the studio would love to jump on, but it turns out a project like this was actually pitched to them and they turned it down.

When told, “We need DC against Mortal Kombat,” Adams responded, saying:

“I would lower your expectations. I don’t know if they plan to do more. I know we proposed it a while ago, but it was kind of pushed back.

When asked if Warner Bros. hated money, Adams said:

“Well, I think in the end I don’t know if they’ll ever do anything else. I hope they do it and I hope they call me to get involved. That would be great because I really love it. But I do not know. I do not know. I think it would be really cool though. Believe me, I would love to see a DC Mortal Kombat. That would be great, great.

When it comes to Warner Bros. animation, you would think they don’t say no to anything! They have developed some interesting animated films over the years. It feels like a Mortal Kombat Vs. DC movie would have been an obvious decision, but I guess not.

Additionally, in 2008, a Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So, they actually had something from the past to play with. It wouldn’t be the first time this crossover happened.
