Obviously, Melissa McBride she would reprise her role as Carol in Walking Dead spin-off series Daryl Dixon. When this show was first developed, it was planned as the Daryl and Carol show, but things changed when McBride left the project. But she’s now back as a series regular in season two, so she’s going to be Daryl and Carol’s show again. I’m sure fans are happy with this news since Carol and Daryl (Norman Reedus) ended up becoming one of the most beloved couples on the show.
McBride said in a statement: “I knew there was more to tell about Carol’s story as I heard her so upset the last time we saw her, watching her best friend, Daryl, walk away. A part or (hopefully!) together, their stories are deep, and I’m so excited to continue Carol’s journey here. This team of storytellers has done an amazing job bringing these two established characters into a world that’s completely new to them, and I love discoveries!”
McBride’s first appearance on Daryl Dixon will come in the Oct. 15 season one finale, which recently screened at New York City Comic Con.
In the series, “Daryl lands in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series follows his journey through a destroyed but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he embarks on the journey, however, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.”
The series is also the protagonist Clemence Poesy, Luigi Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anna Charrier, Romain Levi AND Eriq Ebouaney. David Zabel is the showrunner and executive producer of the series.
