New Details Revealed for Marvel’s DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN;  Michael Gandolfini’s role revealed

Some new details have emerged regarding Marvel Daredevil: Born Againand some of this information refers specifically to the character who Michele Gandolfini he’s playing. It was revealed that he will take on the role of Daniel Blade, who is a new character created for the series and was not taken from the comics.

But the character is reportedly Wilson Fisk’s Director of Communications, and as it turns out, there’s more to him than meets the eye. It is said that this character could be the MCU’s version of Butch. This is a gangster character who discovers that Kingpin has been having an affair with his mother. In the comics, he makes a career and has the ambitious goal of becoming the new Kingpin of Crime.

All this information has been highlighted by industry scoopers We can get some toast. Some of this information came from Daredevil: Born Again copyright page. It was also revealed that there will be some episodes of the series in which we will not see Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) dress up as Daredevil. He will focus heavily on his law firm, Murdock & Associates.

The cast of Daredevil: Born Again also includes Vincenzo D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, and Sandrine Holt as Vanessa Fisk. Also includes Margherita Levieva, Nikki M. James, Michele Gaston, Arty FroushanAND Clark Johnson in undeclared roles.

D’Onofrio has already talked about the series and what we can expect and revealed that there will be a second season. He explained that the show will feature some “gigantic profits” in both seasons one and two. D’Onofrio also added that both Cox and Bernthal will play “a big part of the show.” He also said that it will be very different from the Netflix show. He explained:

“We just started filming. I think we’re a couple of weeks in and the show is going to be very, very different than Netflix, and it’s so exciting because what we’re doing is really something. I think it’s something that people don’t expects. But, always with these old Marvel Comics stories being revisited and reinvented by us as actors and writers, the main thing is to respond to the fans. To give them what they want but try to be original in some way at the same time, and that’s what we’re doing on the show. It’s definitely an original way of looking at it, and it’s really profound, really emotional.”

He then teased the second season by saying:

“And, with the second season, there are gigantic, gigantic profits—even in the first season, but I can’t say too much about that—but the fans are really going to get what they want. It’s really great to do It.”

It was initially announced Daredevil: Born Again it would consist of 18 episodes. During a previous interview, Charlie Cox offered some insight into what we can expect from his character, saying:

“I don’t think it’s a different character. I just think maybe it’s a different time in his life. I don’t think my performance will change: they hired the same actor. Are we saying this is completely new… era or variant? Not I’ve read the scripts, so I don’t know. But like, is this part of the multiverse?”

Cox also previously stated that the series will be “a completely new thing” saying:

“I think the sense is that it’s a new beginning, it’s going to be different, it’s going to be totally different. There will be new stories and new ideas. It’s the first season, not the fourth, so it’s a completely new thing. Which I think is the way to go. If you’re going to do it again, do it differently.”

The series was written and produced by Matt Corman AND Chris Ord, and is expected to be released in January 2025.
