Zack Snyder’s REBEL MOON Extended Cuts won’t just be deleted scenes, they’ll add something to the story

Zack Snyderis coming in two parts Rebel moon The film project will receive a two-part R-rated extended cut for fans to watch. Well, it turns out that these movie cuts won’t just contain deleted scenes, but will actually expand the story and offer deeper character development. Of course, it will also include more violent actions.

During a recent interview with Total Film, the producer Deborah Snyder explained that this is something they were actually able to plan for this time:

“The difference [this time] it’s that we planned it… it’s not an afterthought. We’re still making changes, but they’ll probably be 45 minutes to an hour longer each. Get more character. You get much more of everything. It’s not just some deleted scenes.”

I actually like it, and I’m not sure anything like this has ever been done before, where two versions of the same movie are made during production. Almost every extended version of a film is simply the film that was made along with added deleted scenes that were not included in the final cut. With the Rebel Moon films, both versions of the film are the final completed cut. It’s great!

The story follows a ragtag group of rebels who rise up to fight a giant, evil empire. It is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant.

This is a two-part film and each part will have an R-rated edition for fans to watch as well. Movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huismann, Anthony Hopkins, AND Alfonso Herrera.

The two Rebel moon the films have the title A child of fire and the second titled The Scarifierwhich will be released next spring. A child of fire will arrive on Netflix on December 22nd.
