The new trailer for THE FALL OF THE HOUSE USHER teases Carla Gugino’s malevolent character

Netflix has released a new trailer for Mike Flanaganis the next Netflix thriller The Fall of House Usher. The series tells the story of a pharmaceutical dynasty that begins to crumble as its members die, one by one.

This new trailer puts the focus on Carla Guginothe mysterious and sinister character of Verna. He comes from Roderick and Madeline Usher’s past and comes to collect the Usher family debt, which will be paid with blood.

The series is an epic story of greed, horror and tragedy. Edgar Allen PoeThe tale of “The Fall of the House of Usher” serves as the basis for the show, and the modern retelling of the story also draws inspiration from Poe’s other works.

The series synopsis reads: “In this wicked 8-episode limited series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have transformed Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But secrets from the past come to light when the heirs of the Usher dynasty begin dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.

The ensemble cast includes Mary McDonnell (Screams 4), Carl Lumbly (Doctor Sleep), AND Marco Hamill. Gugino previously shared that the series is “crazy in the best way possible. It has a lot of very dark humor, but it also really touches the soul. Now we have a little taste of what he’s talking about in this recently released trailer.

The series is also the protagonist Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Willa Fitzgerald, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney AND Robert Longstreet.

Mike Flanagan AND Michele Fimognari each directed four episodes of the series. Netflix announced that the series will premiere on October 12, 2023.
