Netflix has released a trailer for its upcoming anime series Plutowhich is based on the revisitation of Osamu Tezukait’s iconic Astroboy manga. It sounds like a great series and the story revolves around a murder that happens in an orderly world where robots are unable to kill humans.

In the series, “In a world where humans and robots coexist, Europol detective Gesicht is dealing with a case in which a series of powerful robots are destroyed, leading him to believe that the culprit is targeting the most powerful robots. advanced people in the world, including himself. But things take a shocking turn when key humans involved in the robot law begin to be killed one by one, and there is no clear sign of a culprit at the crime scenes. As Gesicht investigates, he encounters the highly advanced robot Atom, whose emotions and artificial intelligence leave him in doubt about his own identity. Together, they uncover a dark conspiracy that could spell the end of the world as they know it. But with the clock ticking, can they stop history’s greatest evil before it’s too late?”

The voice cast of the series includes Shinshu Fuji like Gesicht, Yoko Hikasa like Atom, Minor Suzuki like Uranus, Toshihiko Seki like Pluto, Park Rome like Elena, Ron Bottitta as Duncan, Hideyuki Tanaka in the role of Brau, Ken’yu Horiuchi as President Alexander, Kazuhiro Yamaji in the role of Professor Abullah, Eizô Tsuda as Doctor Tenma, Michio Hazama like Duncan and more.

Genco Pluto producers, with Toshio Kawaguchi direct. Naoki Urasawa he is the creative consultant. Shigeru Fujita he is the character designer, as well as the supervising animation director. Yugo Kanno composed the music.

The eight-episode series debuts October 26.
