I am a mountain bike enthusiast, I always cycle and I also like to explore old abandoned mines. But, even though I joked about mountain biking in an abandoned mine, I would never actually do that! It just seems like it would be crazy dangerous!
Well, there are a couple of mountain bike athletes, Jono Jones, Olly Wilkins and Mountain Bike Nomad, who have actually gone down through a mine and it sounds like a crazy experience! The tunnels are so narrow! These guys are freaking crazy!
They passed through the abandoned Mežica lead and zinc mine in Slovenia and the route is known as the Black Hole Trail.
The Black Hole Trail is a special challenge for even the most experienced mountain bikers. The trail passes through the abandoned tunnels of the Mežica mine. From the day it was closed until the day they started setting up the trail, not a single human foot entered these tunnels.
