Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming action comedy series Deletedwhere it comes from Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden SchlossbergAND Josh Heald.
Deleted is a high-octane action comedy that tells the story of “an elite team of special forces who thwart a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After the celebratory party, filled with alcohol, drugs and sex, the team discovers that the bomb they deactivated was fake. The now intoxicated team must fight their handicaps, overcome their personal problems, find the real bomb and save the world.
The show seems like a good silly time and was once described as if 24 had a baby with The Hangover. Executive producer, director and co-showrunner Hayden Schlossberg said of the series: “The entire city of Las Vegas will be destroyed unless our team can find and deactivate the nuclear device. There is only a short amount of time to find the bomb, and while time flows our team must defeat deadly forces by working against them… as well as overcome the enormous amounts of alcohol and other substances in their systems.”
He continued: “Even if you are the so-called best of the best, you will come up against a lot if called into action with a system full of alcohol and drugs. Our team deals with every imaginable self-imposed obstacle due to an accidental party before the end of the mission… It is much more difficult when you are dealing with blurred vision, poor brain processing, decreased coordination, nausea, hunger, thirst and bladder control.”
Director, executive producer and co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz added, “Like their characters, this cast is the best of the best. Each of them can do it all. They can nail the comedy, the drama and the action.” . They can play the role of the tough or the vulnerable; sober or wasted; sexy or sloppy. And on this show, we ask them to do everything.”
The series is the protagonist Nick Zano (A.D Legends of tomorrow) next to Shelley Hennig (Adolescent wolf), C. Thomas Howell, Kimi Rutledge, Paola Lazzaro, Terrence Terrell, Alyson GorskeAND Eugene Kim.
Season 1 of Deleted consists of eight episodes and will all be released on Netflix on November 30th.
