New trailer for the Disney animated film WISH – “Be careful what you wish for”

Disney has released a new trailer for its upcoming animated fantasy film Wish, whose story leans into the whole “When You Wish Upon a Star” aspect of Disney lore. The trailer offers much more information about the story the film will tell and about the story’s villain, Magnificent, voiced by Chris Pino. This sounds like a Disney movie that fans will enjoy.

It looks like a beautifully animated film, the style of which is unlike anything Disney has ever done before. The story is set in a world called Rosas, a fairy-tale kingdom of desires. It is a “fantastic land located off the coast of the Iberian Peninsula. People come from all over to make their wishes to a magical king who promises to grant their deepest wishes one day. Only he can decide which wishes will come true and when.”

The main character of the story is Asha (Ariana De Bose), “a quick-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is granted by a cosmic force: a small sphere of limitless energy called the Star.” It is explained that “Together, Asha and Star face a formidable enemy, the ruler of Rosas, King Magnificent, to save his community and prove that when the will of a courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wonderful things can happen “. .”

The film was directed by Chris Buck AND Fawn Veerasunthorn, who said: “We have been inspired by so many iconic films over the 100 years of Disney Animation, particularly stories where we explore the power of someone with a wish, combined with the belief to make that wish come true. Being able to honor that legacy with this incredible story and these extraordinary characters has been a joy for our entire team.”

Also includes the film’s voice cast Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, Angelique Cabral as Queen Amaya, Vittorio Garber as Asha’s grandfather, and Natasha Rothwell like Asha’s mother. Jennifer Kumiyama, Evan Peters, Harvey Guillén, Ramy Youssef, Niko Vargas, Della SabaAND Jon Rudnitsky they also star as Asha’s friends.

Wish will only be released in theaters on November 22, 2023.
