A new trailer has been released for the Apple TV+ original film, Nailsa sci-fi love triangle story starring Jessie Buckley (Women talking), Riz Ahmed (Metal sound), AND Jeremy Allen White (The bear), as well as Luke Wilson (The Family Stone) AND Anni Murphy (Schitt’s Creek).
Directed by Christos Nikou and produced by Cate Blanchett, “the science fiction film is set in the not-so-distant future. The story follows Anna (Buckley) and Ryan (White) as they use a machine-determined mathematical procedure to determine whether they are truly in love.
Luke Wilson plays Duncan, who runs the Love Institute. She Anna declares that she wants to work at the Institute because she “Ginger Spice” studied there. She finds herself guided by Amir, played by Ahmed. And the more time she spends with Amir and at the lab, she finds herself asking him and herself, “Is it possible that one person can be in love with two people at the same time?”
The film marks Nikou’s English-language debut. Blanchett contacted Nikou after seeing her directorial debut “Apples” at the Venice Film Festival, asking if she could have a role in her next project. After informing Blanchett that she did not have a role in mind for Blanchett, she asked if she could produce the film.
The film will be released in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on October 27. “Fingernails” will have its world premiere on Apple TV+ and will play in other select theaters on November 3. Watch the trailer below:
