John Woothe next action movie Silent night it is the director’s first American film in 20 years and Lionsgate will release it in theaters on December 1st.
Movie stars Joel Kinnaman (The suicide squad) and the film is described as a “loud action tale, without a word of dialogue,” which will make the film interesting. Woo is a very visual storyteller, so I have no doubt that he will come up with something great.
The film tells the “gritty revenge story of a tormented father (Kinnaman) who witnesses the death of his young son when he is caught in a gang crossfire on Christmas Eve. While recovering from an injury that costs him his voice, Kinnaman makes revenge his life’s mission and embarks on a punishing training regimen to avenge his son’s death. Filled with Woo’s signature style, Silent Night redefines the action genre with visceral, thrill-a-minute storytelling.
The film is also the protagonist Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi, Harold TorresAND Catalina Sandino Moreno.
John Wick‘S Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Cristiano Mercuri AND Lori Tilkin they are producing. Woo’s last film was the 2017 action film Manhunt.
