Now, during a recent interview with GQ, Scorsese was asked about comic book films and these big blockbuster franchises and he explained that there is a danger that comes with these films with the negative impact they will have on audiences he is not an expert on the subject. other types of films. “The danger is the effects on our culture. Because there will be generations now who will think that movies are just that: that’s what movies are.

Scorsese went on to talk about the content pumped out of streaming services rather than actual cinema, saying:
“I really think that the content produced is not really cinema. It’s almost as if the AI made a movie. And that doesn’t mean there aren’t incredible directors and special effects people making beautiful works of art. But what does it mean? What will these films give you? Other than sort of consuming something and then eliminating it from your mind, from your whole body, you know? So what does it give you?”
Scorsese has worked with streaming services and his next film is Assassins of the Flower Moon, which was produced by Apple Studios, but will be released in theaters on October 20th.
