First look at Netflix’s BLUE EYE SAMURAI anime from the writer of LOGAN and BLADE RUNNER 2049

Netflix has released a poster for its next original anime project Blue-eyed samurai, and this is our first look. The series was created by the writer Michele Verdewho has previously worked on high-profile projects such as Logan AND Blade Runner 2049so we know the script and story will be solid.

The series centers on an Edo period samurai in Japan seeking revenge. Blue-eyed samurai will feature an impressive voice cast that includes Giorgio Takei, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Masi Oka, Randall Park, Darren BarnettAND Brenda Song.

When the project was first announced, the creators Michele Verde AND Amber Noizumi shared in a statement, “Our story is an extraordinary action adventure that takes place 400 years ago, but the themes of Blue Eye Samurai are timely and the inspiration is deeply personal. We are grateful for Netflix’s passion for this story and for their bold vision of a sophisticated animated drama.”

The producers also intervened Mulan director Jane Wu to help develop the series. Blue-eyed samurai will be released on November 3rd.
