There’s a new novel coming set in Alien titled universe Aliens: bishopand the story it tells is a direct sequel James Cameron’S Aliens AND David Fincher’S Alien 3. It looks like it will tell a cool and interesting story!
The novel was written by TR Napper, and comes from the publisher Titan Books. In the story, “Weyland-Yutani, the Colonial Marines, and Bishop’s creator all pursue the android for the deadly Xenomorph data contained within his brain.”
The official plot synopsis of Aliens: bishop reads: “Massively damaged in Aliens and Alien 3, the synthetic Bishop (Lance Henriksen) asked to be closed forever. Its creator, Michael Bishop, has other plans. He seeks out the Xenomorph’s knowledge stored in the android’s mind and brings Bishop back to life, but for what reason? No longer an employee of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, Michael tells his creation that he seeks to advance medical research for the benefit of humanity. But where does he find the resources necessary to carry out his work? Who are his new alliances with?
Bishop is pursued by Colonial Marine Captain Marcel Apone, commander of the Il Conde and younger brother of Sergeant Major Alexander Apone, one of the victims of the doomed mission on LV-426. Also on his trail are the “Dog Catchers”, commandos employed by Weyland-Yutani.
The description concludes: “Who else could benefit from Bishop’s intimate knowledge of the deadliest creatures in the galaxy?”
