Saban Films has released the first trailer for Amber heardthe next possession horror thriller In the fire. The film is set in the 1890s and Heard plays a doctor who travels from New York to a remote plantation to care for a disturbed young boy.
The boy appears to have inexplicable abilities and when he begins to cure him, “it sparks a war between science and religion with the local priest who believes the boy is possessed by the Devil and is the reason for all the village’s evils.”
Heard spoke about the film saying, “The film is a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed, independent woman in the early 20th century. I feel honored to be part of this labor of love and to be the protagonist of Conor Allyn’s vision. I feel lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing cast. They are as devoted and magical as the characters they play.”
The film comes from the director Conor Allyn and he is also the protagonist Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani, AND Yari Gugliucci.
Amber Heard has been a hot topic of conversation over the past few months and some people are boycotting her Aquaman 2 about Heard’s involvement in the film. I doubt that will carry over into this film because it’s a much lower profile project.
The film is rated “R” for: “Some violent content and brief sexuality” and will be available in theaters and domestically on Friday, October 13.
