I have a teaser trailer here for you to watch for an upcoming survival horror thriller titled The last straw. The film is an homage to the extremely intense genre thriller films of the 1980s and is said to be “a gritty, unrelenting twist on the home invasion thriller that subverts expectations at every turn.”
The story takes place over the course of one night in a dusty roadside diner and follows Nancy, “a young waitress who works alone on the night shift. As a series of chaotic events spiral out of her control, Nancy finds herself fighting for her life when she is terrorized by a group of masked attackers. No one is what she seems, and with no one to turn to, she must do everything she can to survive the night.
The film was directed by Alan Scott Nealwho is making his directorial debut, and shared in a statement: “The last straw it’s an outlet to reveal what horror awaits when the mask is removed and, at the same time, an attempt to understand what drives some people to turn to violence. When I first read Taylor Sardoni’s screenplay, I was creatively drawn to exploring the abhorrent and violent behavior that arises from the cultural clashes ingrained in American society, while simultaneously creating a fun thrill ride that grabs you and doesn’t let go. go.
